Two Islands, One Leap: How Honduras + Hawaii Became My Great Reset

Not long ago, I closed a chapter that no longer served me. I quit my job—steady paycheck and all—to follow a path that felt more like me.

So, what do you do when you walk away from your “shoulds” to make space for your “hell yes”?
You book a one-way ticket and chase your childhood dreams to the edge of the ocean.

First stop: Honduras 🌊

Ever since I was 13, I’d dreamed of getting my PADI Advanced Open Scuba Certification. And in Roatán, I finally did it. I went deep diving, floated through the dark on night dives, and let the ocean remind me what life is all about.

There’s something meditative about being 100 feet underwater—breathing slow and steady, weightless in the current, watching fish live their colorful little lives. My adventurous, ocean-loving heart was in heaven. Every moment reminded me: I was made for more than spreadsheets and status meetings—I was made to feel this alive. And I am going to figure it all out.

Next up: Hawaii 🌺

Yes, I’ve been before. But this trip? This trip felt like the first time I really saw her. Maybe it was because I had nothing to prove and everything to feel. Or maybe the rainbow island just cast her love spell on me. Either way, I was enchanted.

I summited Mauna Kea—the tallest technical mountain in the world. Hiked the Na Pali Coast, which was hands down the most breathtaking trail I’ve ever touched. I saw whales breaching, baby whales learning to flip, and even heard whales talking underwater while sea turtles swam by.

It was magic. Pure, goosebumps-on-your-skin, soul-smiling magic.

So why am I telling you this?

Because maybe you’re in a season of wondering if it’s too late to start over.
Maybe you’ve been questioning whether it’s selfish to want more out of life.
Or maybe, like me, you’re standing on the edge of a decision that could change everything.

This trip was my reset.

I’m back now—heart full, tan lines faded, and more committed than ever to building JKole Yoga into something that helps you feel this kind of alive, too.

If you’ve been thinking about taking a leap… this is your sign. 🫶🏼
Trust the universe. Trust the timing. Trust your soul.

Even off the mat—we’re moving forward.

First trip to Hawai'i — cave diving off the North Shore of Oʻahu.
